5th ANNUAL FALL INSTITUTE IN HEALTH POLICY AND MANAGEMENT

The Johns Hopkins Fall Institute is dedicated to providing short-term, intensive educational opportunities for public health practitioners. The Institute serves as a convenient venue for health professionals to begin or enhance their education in a variety of public health disciplines, with course work focusing on key health policy and health management issues.

Twelve courses, offered in two to five day formats, provide the latest information and techniques and are taught by pre-eminent faculty from the Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Public Health Agency of Barcelona, the Pompeu Fabra University and other leading institutions. All courses are taught in English.

Environmental Policy and Management Track:

• Time Series Analysis of Air Pollution: How Risky is Breathing? :Drs. Francesca Dominici and Aurelio Tobías
• Environmental Inequalities: Drs. Gordon Walker and Nuria Calzada
• Air, Water and Food Toxics: Dr. Rolf Halden and Ms. Mireia Fontcuberta

Social and Political Determinants of Health Policy Track:

• Life Course Perspectives on Health :Drs. M. E. Hughes and Carles Ariza
• Social Epidemiology: Health Inequalities and Geocoding Project: Drs. Jarvis Chen and Carme Borrell
• The Politics of Health Policy: Dr. Vicente Navarro
